Energy efficiency and customer service activities have been included in its field of application
The Electricity Collective Agreement was renewed, which will start from 1st January 2019 and expire on 31st December 2021 and will apply to electricity companies that carry out production, transformation, transport, distribution and sale of electricity, as well as production and supply of heating services and disposal of disused nuclear power plants and related activities, to engineering firms set up by companies in the sector and which already carry out their activities exclusively for the electricity sector, and to workers employed by them.
On 14th November, the trade union parties (Filctem-Cgil, Flaei-Cisl and Uiltec-Uil) in fact confirmed, following the favourable vote of the workers' assemblies, the operation of the hypothesis of agreement of 9th October 2019, which, among other matters, included energy efficiency and commercial customer assistance services in the field of application of the collective agreement, also establishing the overall limit for fixed-term and temporary workers in 25% of permanent employees.
The contract provides for increases in the minimum wages, which will start from November 2019, September 2020 and June 2021. With the remuneration for the month of December 2019, a one-time lump sum will also be paid. (LC)
