How to pay the wages of an employee and co.co.co (coordinated and continuous collaboration contract)
As of July 1st, the employer must use bank transfer, money order and cheques.

As many are aware, clauses 910 to 913 of article 1 of Budget Law do not look kindly on cash-in-hand payments as wages for employees and Co.co.co. They favour the banking methods, namely bank transfers, cheques and electronic payments.

With annotation n. 7396 of September 10th, the National Labour Inspector pointed out that cash payments as a means of paying wages was justified if made at the bank where the employing company has their ordinary current account.

Postal money orders are also permitted, again according to the National Labour Inspector, provided that the payment description includes the relevant month of the wages being paid, in addition to the names of both employee and employer.
